Interbrand Opens in Malaysia
The world’s foremost brand consultants open 10th office in Asia-Pacific market.
New York, NY, USA, March 17, 2008 – Interbrand, the world’s leading brand consultancy,
announced its plans to formally open an office in Malaysia later this month.
Founded in 1974, Interbrand has more than 30 offices in over 20 countries worldwide.
Malaysia will be the tenth office in the Asia-Pacific region for the global firm.
Interbrand has, in fact, been working in Malaysia for over 15 years, partnering with clients
such as TM, Reckitt and Benkiser, Perodua, UEM, Skomi, YTL, Petronas and Maybank, to
name a few. Most recently, they have been developing the soon to be launched brand
strategy and communications system for the Iskandar Regional Development.
Having pioneered the practice of Brand Valuation in 1987, Interbrand is now recognized
worldwide for its annual Best Global Brands study, published in BusinessWeek magazine,
and over twelve region-specific studies. The group made headlines recently with its
preparation of Malaysia’s inaugural country league table – Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands
(MMVB), commissioned by the 4 A’s.
