Veteran Technology Marketer Joins Interbrand in San Francisco
Federica Judica Appointed Managing Director
San Francisco, CA, USA, April 21, 2008 – Interbrand, the leading global brand consultancy, announced today the
appointment of Federica Judica as Managing Director of the firm’s San Francisco office.
A veteran in technology marketing, Judica brings to the firm’s growing West Coast practice a portfolio
of experience that spans brand analytics, strategy, portfolio management, segmentation, market analysis,
communications, and brand management.
Over a nearly twenty-year career in the US and Asia, Judica spent thirteen years in brand strategy and
market research at Intel Corporation, a $31 billion brand according to Interbrand’s 2007 Best Global
Brands study in BusinessWeek. As the company’s director of worldwide corporate market research, she
led the rethinking of Intel’s brand positioning that drove fundamental changes in product brand strategy.
Her work helped transition Intel from a technology driven business to take a market driven approach
to business strategy. Most recently, Judica laid the foundation for the customer insights practice at the
technology communications company Plantronics, Inc.
“Federica is experienced in managing brands for value growth and has shown her ability to inspire and
lead a diverse team,” said Lee Carpenter, CEO of Interbrand North America. He added, “I am confident
she will bring great energy and momentum to Interbrand and I’m delighted to have her join us.”
A former marketing instructor and frequent commentator on brands, Judica is a regular guest presenter
to the MBA program at the Thunderbird School of Global Management, driving the same passion for
branding among students and channeling their future careers.
Judica has a Masters of Science in Marketing from The Smeal College of Business Administration at
Penn State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from the
University of Turin, Italy.
Judica replaces Darrell Hayden who announced his departure earlier this year.
