Interbrand appoints new Managing Director in London

Graham Hales takes over as Managing Director of leading brand consultancy’s London office.

31 March 2009, London, UK – Interbrand announced the appointment of Graham Hales as Managing Director in London. Hales will lead a strong, multi-disciplinary team in the creation and management of clients’ brands.

Hales takes over from Rune Gustafson.

Hales joined Interbrand in 1997 and has extensive experience working with some of Interbrand’s leading clients all over the world including PriceWaterhouseCoopers, AP Moller-Maersk Group and Comic Relief. In 2006 he was promoted to Chief Communications Officer in the Interbrand Group team, with responsibility for global marketing and communication, and reporting directly to the Global CEO.

Hales will report into Jean-Baptiste Danet, CEO of Interbrand Europe. Danet says, ’It’s great to have Graham back in the London office. His energy and drive to get things done is infectious. At the same time we thank Rune for his efforts and wish him the best for the future’.

Gustafson leaves after two years with the business and oversaw a period when Interbrand London established a representative office in Dubai and deepened its relationships with a number of UK clients such as Barclays and RSA (formerly Royal & Sun Alliance). In 2008 the business was named “Agency of the Year”, by Marketing Magazine.
