Interbrand Design Forum Names Dirk Defenbaugh Managing Director
Dayton, Ohio (10 September 2013) —Retail design and brand strategy firm Interbrand Design Forum, the retail division of leading brand consultancy, Interbrand, announces that it has hired Dirk Defenbaugh as Managing Director. In this role, Defenbaugh will oversee day-to-day operations for the office, which specializes in creating retail experiences for some of the world’s leading brands.
As the leader of Interbrand Design Forum, Defenbaugh will be focused on attracting and retaining talent, delivering innovative brand solutions, developing and executing a growth strategy, leading business development, managing and growing client relationships and furthering the company’s position as a market leader. He will also serve on the Interbrand North America Executive Committee.
Defenbaugh has nearly two decades of experience in retail strategy, design and branding. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Client Service at WD Partners. Previously, he held senior level positions with SmartRevenue, Fitch and Big Red Rooster.

Defenbaugh has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications from The Ohio State University.
