Behrens has joined Interbrand from the marketing and design consultancy, FITCH, where he served as Chief Executive Officer for North America. There, he established an all-new synergy between teams that substantially boosted shared business. Prior to FITCH, Behrens spent over ten years as Chief Executive Officer at Brand Union, first for the Middle East and then the Middle East & Africa. He established the company’s office in Dubai and expanded its presence in the Middle East, and later led the turnaround of struggling operations in Africa while stabilizing revenue across his regions. During his tenure, Behrens also founded a society of WPP CEOs that identified mutual growth opportunities, developed collaboration, and generated $1.2 million in group revenues in just six months.
With extensive experience in CPG, retail, and health, and a robust background in corporate strategy, Behrens exercises a deep understanding of Interbrand’s services and its market, as well as a holistic view of the evolving competitive landscape. While much is changing in the consultancy sphere, he maintains that the role of brand in delivering value to businesses and consumers is not.
