Ben Miles to judge D&AD 2017

As we sit here writing from our sunny corner of the globe we couldn’t be any prouder of Ben to be representing both Interbrand and the creative community of Australia. The D&AD Professional Awards are recognised globally as the ultimate creative accolade, entered and attended by the best from around the world. D&AD describe themselves as a non-profit advertising and design association inspiring the next generation of creative talent and stimulating the creative industry to work towards a fairer more sustainable future. Something that we also believe is absolutely integral to constant development of the design community here in Australia.

We asked Ben how he’s feeling about the task ahead:

“I’m a little nervous and incredibly excited — It’s been a dream of mine forever — I’ve always been in awe of the incredible work (and still am) that’s put forward every year. Whenever i’ve watched the judging and festival unfold i’ve always wondered about the process and how hard it must be to pick the winners amongst the gazzilion entries. It’s not going to be easy, I think it’s going to be a really tough job and rightly so. The Judging panel is quite diverse this year with strong characters and varied opinions. So I’ll be looking out for (and fighting for) Australian work of course (just kidding, or am i)… I’ll be looking for work that’s not only beautifully crafted and incredibly clever, but that also makes a difference.”
