Nantucket, Massachusetts (August 6, 2018)– One year following its June 2017 launch, philanthropic online retailer Olivela opened its first physical concept-shop in Nantucket. The pop-up shop made its debut in June 2018, carrying a curated edit from the summer season, while introducing a brand new, unique shopping experience.
Located at 25 Centre Street, Nantucket, the 850 square foot space was brought to life through a design created by acclaimed London design consultancy HMKM and architectural services and project management delivered by Interbrand Retail, both of which are part of the industry-leading Interbrand network. The pop-up houses a selection of summer handbags, shoes, ready-to-wear, jewelry, beauty and fragrances, bringing Olivela’s philanthropic retail concept to a fully immersive physical experience. Interactive displays evoke the Olivela ideal of radical transparency, allowing shoppers to see in sharp detail the direct impact for good that each item in the store can have in the world.
A unique feature of the elegant boutique is #TheOlivelaEffect Experience Suite. Here, guests are able to immerse themselves with the causes and recipients they are supporting, as well as capture and share their unique experiences. Taking philanthropic retailing to the next level, guests are delighted by innovative in-store technology that provides the opportunity to interact and learn about their favorite designer products while understanding the beneﬁt their purchase is having.
Olivela’s business model enables consumers to make a direct impact by purchasing luxury fashion and beauty products from the world’s leading brands including Burberry, Givenchy, Prada, Dior, Aquazzura, Sisley Paris, Stella McCartney and Valentino among many others. 20% from the sale of every item is donated to one of Olivela’s cause partners, supporting efforts to secure education for at-risk girls around the globe. Shoppers are able to see exactly what good their purchases have generated, measured in tangible metrics such as number of days of school.
