Sparkling wine and fashion combine to give Chandon's limited edition holiday bottles an edge above the rest.
Since 2013, Chandon has released limited edition, designer-inspired bottles to celebrate each holiday season. These collections have enabled the brand to break out of its very traditional category, blurring the lines between conventional sparkling wines and trendy spirits to engage new groups of bubbly-drinkers.
The Holiday 2017 Chandon Rebecca Minkoff collection was part of a two-year partnership with the fashion and accessory designer. The new bottle design would incorporate Rebecca Minkoff’s signature geometric patterns—but to really pop on the shelves, it would also have to stand out from past releases. By pushing the boundaries of Chandon’s production capabilities, Interbrand took this new design to the next level.
The bottle sleeves utilized metallic holographic foils for the first time in Chandon’s history. Working closely with the brand’s production team and vendors, we delivered a design that incorporated this high-shine element in a tasteful, premium way. This bit of glitz put a glimmer in the eyes of the brand’s fashion partner—resulting in a limited edition Rebecca Minkoff #ChandonSquad clutch in opalescent leather that mimics the new labels, which launched at Rebecca Minkoff’s runway show during New York Fashion Week 2017.
The success of this 2017 Holiday Chandon Rebecca Minkoff collection raised the bar for the Chandon brand, as well as its sister-spirits. LVMH’s North American CEO called the holiday bottle “the new standard of design and execution” for limited edition packaging across all of LVMH’s spirits brands.
